Back from the internationals and teams are looking to move forward, those who suffered defeats before the break were itching to get back on it and those with victories welcomed the long break to enjoy theirs.
Per Mertesacker returns to Arsenal after getting the win for Germany over England at Wembley, Steve Clarke goes into the weekend confident he might not get a wrong penalty call or anyone after submitting the club's case to the Premier League and getting a call from Head of Referees, Mike Riley. So let's get going- WB's Five Things to expect this weekend

MAKE OR BREAK: Like I said, teams are itching to get back on winning ways and one team eager to do the same is Arsenal. The Gunners face an overachieving, in-form, unbelievable, giants killing Southampton who have conceded the least amount of goals with 5 and sit in continental spots higher than Chelsea, Tottenham, and both Manchester clubs.

Southampton have been the surprise team this season |
The Gunners would be hoping for a repeat of 6-1 win over the visitors knowing a loss could see them lose top spot while the Saints would be praying when they march in at the Emirates' ground they pick up their third away- a win that would see them joint leaders on the table.
BLUE IS THE COLOR...OR RED IS IT?
It is another Blue vs Red clash, and no, we are not talking about clashes between primary colors. A similar event has occurred in Man City vs Man United, now moving to Merseyside, it gets even more spectacular.

Can in form Lukaku trouble Liverpool's defence? |
It would be the 221st meeting of Everton and Liverpool, and with only three points separating both teams we should be in for a mouth-watering game. Roberto Martinez goes into his first Merseyside derby while Brendan Rodgers, with almost similar style of play, be hoping to get his first derby win as his last two ended in a draw.
Dubbed the "The most ill-disciplined and explosive fixture in the Premier League" both sets of players should be expecting to nurse purple bruises at the end of the game but is that not what happens when primary colors Blue and Red clash?
GOAL DROUGHT OR GOAL-FEST?
Man City lost a UCL place once in this fixture and lost grounds in the title in this same fixture last season but Pellegrini cannot afford another slip up against Tottenham this season.

Pellegrini's City need to find their rhythm quickly |
After losing to Sunderland before the break, the Citizens are also in the league of teams itching to get back to winning ways and have to do it against a solid Spurs. Tottenham with 9 goals scored this season find themselves in 7th spot and Man City with 28 goals are in the 8th spot in the league,- so much for fertility and futility, eh?
There is always bound to be goals in this game as since the 2000's only three times has this fixture ended in a goalless draw.
POINTING IT OUT
The caption says it all, as clubs would be battling for points, the Premier League is the most entertaining and the most competitive and we should be out for an exciting one this weekend.

A win for Crystal Palace could send Sunderland bottom, while a win for the Black Cats could see them in 16th position, a win for 18th placed Fulham to 13th, while a win for Hull City, (wait, Hull City Tigers right?) could see them jump behind Man City in 9th, a win for Newcastlegets them into continental competitions, a win for the Red Devils takes them second and gets them into the title race and a win for Arsenalis... just another win for Arsenal.
PHONE CALL OR PENALTY CALL
It depends on which of the calls you're behind, a call saying you have just won a million naira or a wrong penalty call together with an apologetic call from the head of referees, if you're the former (kindly DM me @chukamvp) and if you are the latter I'm guessing you are Steve Clarke.

West Brom felt they were robbed against Chelsea last time out |
In a season that has already seen 25 penalty kicks awarded, 2.27 per week this season compared to the last season's 2.24. With the whole debate over diving, protecting players, phone calls and apologies one cannot be sure if we are likely to see less penalty calls or none at all this weekend.
But if there is something I can tell you, it is that a wrong penalty call against you is sometimes better than a wrong phone call from an Hausa man calling you around 3a.m, even when you say wrong number, presses on just saying "Audu, Audu, you dey there? Audu? Audu? you dey there? Audu?"
