Mourinho: I Can Help Falcao Reach His Level
Jose Mourinho has all but confirmed recent rumours linking Radamel Falcao to Chelsea by claiming he can get the best out of the Colombian and would relish an opportunity to work with El Tigre.
Chelsea have been linked with a surprise move for Falcao as replacement for the departed Didier Drogba, seeing as Manchester United decided against taking the option of signing him permanently.
Mourinho confirmed said interest in an interview with DirecTV Sports, he was quoted as saying: “It really hurts me that people in England believe that Falcao is the guy they saw at Manchester United.
“He’s a player I know, one that I’ve followed since Atletico Madrid and if I can help Falcao arrive at his level, I will do it”.
That Falcao and Mourinho share that same agent in Jorge Mendes could ease any negotiations and see Chelsea complete one of the more surprising deals of the summer.
Dani Alves Replaces Danilo In Brazil Squad
Brazil’s Copa America squad has been bolstered by the addition of Barcelona full-back, Dani Alves as a replacement for injured Danilo.
The Madrid bound 23 year old was removed from the squad after he sprained his ankle. This opened up a spot for the recently rejuvenated Alves, who received his call-up late on Wednesday.
His selection completes a remarkable week for Dani Alves, after Barcelona’s Champions League success as well as signing his contract extension at the Camp Nou, keeping him at the club till 2017 with the option of an extra year.
Clement Grenier Signs New Deal
Olympique Lyonnais midfielder, Clemet Grenier, has signed a 2 year extension on his contract at the Stade Gerland keeping him with the Ligue 1 side till 2018.
Grenier had an injury ravaged 214/2015 season and was absent for the vast majority of Lyon’s ultimately futile challenge for the Ligue 1 title.
His injuries dampened speculations linking him to the Premier league, with Arsenal and Newcastle mooted as his likely destination. His new deal all but confirms the 24 year old’s future for the foreseeable future.

Nadal stutters to victory in Grass court Opener
Rafael Nadal’s less than convincing recent form continued as he edged past Marcos Baghdatis 7-6(75) 6-7 (4-7) 6-2 as he commences his grass court season.
Fresh off his failure to defend his French Open title after he was easily dismissed in the quarter final stage by Novak Djokovic, the now world number 10 was largely unconvincing as his preparations for Wimbledon got underway at the Mercedes Cup in Stuttgart.
The experienced Cypriot, no stranger to matches going the distance himself pulled off tricks up his sleeve to make the Spaniard sweat for victory.
Speaking on court after the game, Nadal who is a top seed and two time winner in Stuttgart expressed his delight in the win; “Marcos is a great player and he’s been playing well. For me, it’s an important victory. I’m in the quarter finals and I’m glad to be back in Stuttgart after a while away.
Nadal next comes up against Bernard tomic who saw off veteran and home favourite, Tommy Haas 7-6 (8-6) 6-2.
