Kano Pillars Sunday emerged champions of the Glo Nigeria Premier for a third time in a row even with a match still left to be played in the current campaign.
The Pyramid Boys turned up style in Kano as they pounded already relegated Nembe City 4-0 while fellow title chasers, Enyimba and Warri Wolves failed to get the desired results in their respective games against Dolphins FC and Gombe United.
Both teams played out disappointing 1-1 draws in their game thus handing the trophy to Pillars even before the last day of hostilities.
With the latest victory, Pillars have an unassailable 65 point from 37 games.
It was gathered that the Governor is tired of giving the players and officials’ cars and is planning to surprise them with new houses that has been completed in Kano.
Having conquered the domestic scene yet again, the onus is now on Pillars to give Nigeria a befitting representation in the CAF Champions League.
Pillars are far from been impressive in their last two tries crashing out even before the group stages in the last attempts.
