With week 11 of the Premier League coming to an end and the international fixtures on the horizon, WB takes you through the players who have shone brilliantly in their respective teams, with Chelsea dropping points, Tottenham and Man City both losing, some familiar names are set to be absent from this week's WB'S TEAM OF THE WEEK.
With no further ado, here is the last team of the week before the international break.
GOALKEEPER
TIM KRUL: Describing it as the "highlight" of his career, the Dutch international put in some breath-taking performances against Tottenham at White Hart Lane.
While the talk before the game was centered on his opposition's goalie Hugo Lloris, Krul rightly stole the show with his 14 saves in the game, surpassing Cardiff's David Marshall and being the highest amount of saves in PL game since 2006/2007 season.
DEFENDERS
PHIL BARDSLEY: What better way to mark your 150th start for a club you were once ousted from than scoring the club's 200th against Man City. Good in his defensive duties, the ex-Red Devil capped his great performance with a cool finish slotting the ball around 6'8 Costel Pantillimon.
WES BROWN: If the bus the Black Cats had parked towards the end of the game against Man City became visible for a second, I'm sure the registration plates would have read W. Brown. Such was his commanding display that he won 100% of his tackles and frustrated Aguero all day.
PHIL JONES: His only stain in the game against Arsenal was the yellow card he undeservedly received for his head clash with the Arsenal goalie. Closed down opposition players all game and put in brilliant tackles and interceptions and was reliable when called upon to replace Nemanja Vidic at the back at half time.
GARETH McAULEY: Not a household name but was extremely instrumental in the game against Chelsea. Worked his socks off and his passion throughout the game was never in doubt. Had a hand in West Brom's equalizer after his powerful header was saved by Petr Cech before Shane Long converted on the rebound.
MIDFIELDERS
STEVEN GERRARD: Once again put in a dominant display that belied his age. After such painful loss to Arsenal, captain fantastic stepped up to the plate and led his team's surge against Fulham, and laid on two assists for his team to convert also being involved with Fulham's own goal at the beginning of the game.
ADAM LALLANA: Has always been lauded but this week does not get better for him after getting a call-up to the England squad was able to impress a watching Roy Hodgson by grabbing a goal for himself and having a hand in winning Southampton a penalty.
WAYNE ROONEY: Might not have scored against Arsenal but the Striker was easily the top performer in the game. A fine delivery from a corner put Man Utd in the lead with an RvP header. The English forward's work rate was exceptional throughout the course of the game covering almost every blade of grass at Old Trafford.
STEPHANE SESSEGNON: MOTM at Stamford Bridge and rightly so. The former Black Cats striker and was running straight at the Chelsea's backline with his ball tricks and finally paid off when he found the back of the net, albeit an unsual Petr Cech goalkeeping error.
FORWARDS
WILFRIED BONY: Led his team's comeback against Stoke City after going 2-nil down by grabbing the first goal and would have thought he grabbed the winner in the 86th minute when he passed the ball into the net from a Shelvey pass.
LUIS SUAREZ: Showing his importance to Liverpool and backing the decision not to sell him, the Uruguayan has gone to the top of the goal scoring charts with his two goals against Fulham, his 7th and 8th coming in just six appearances this season.
Looked extremely sharp against the Cottagers and is making serious claims on being the best striker in the league at the moment.
WB'S HONORABLE MENTIONS: Tim Howard, Chris Smalling, Leandro Bacuna, Jon Walters, Robin van Persie, Coutinho, Jordan Hendersson, Eden Hazard, Rickie Lambert, Libor Kozak.
