Super Eagles defender Elderson Echiejile has admitted he is engagaed with his long time girlfriend Annabel Akpala, a 500 level medical student at the University of Port Harcourt.

The AS Monaco defender who is poised to make his 11th Ligue 1 start against Montpeller this weekend revealed that he proposed to Annabel, the youngest sister of Karabukspor forward Joseph Akpala who is also a model in Benin Republic eight months ago after he was dropped from the World Cup quad on account of an injury.

The 27 year old also admitted he proposed to her with a 3-stone diamond ring and could tie the nuptial knots in the summer.
