Super Eagles midfield ace Mikel Obi and striker Odion Ighalo will go head-to-head on Sunday when Watford and Chelsea clash in an FA Cup game at Stamford Bridge.
Ighalo has been in good form for the Championship side Watford and will hope to help his side upset EPL leaders Chelsea, who will parade Mikel. He was an unused substitute in Chelsea 5-3 loss to Tottenham Hotspur.
Watford defeated Chelsea 5-1 in a Cup game at Stamford Bridge in 1986, but Chelsea defeated Watford in the last meeting of both clubs at Stamford Bridge in 2010 as they won 5-0.
Meanwhile Nigerian striker Adebayo Akinfenwa hopes to help AFC Wimbledon defeat his boyhood favourites Liverpool in their FA Cup game on Monday.
The journeyman striker is a Liverpool fan and will face the Anfield giants who will also be fielding Nigerian born striker Sheyi Ojo.
Akinfenwa is eagerly awaiting the clash.
“I am fit, I want to play against them and want to score against them if I get the opportunity,” Akinfenwa said.
“I will do my best in the game. We will give good account of ourselves in the game.
Akinfenwa has scored nine goals in 28 games for AFC Wimbledon so far this season.
