Nigeria goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama has made the shortlist of five players for the BBC African Footballer of the Year 2014.
Enyeama was indeed in top form in the period under review even though he has seemingly lost form this season.
The Super Eagles shot stopper made a number of telling saves at the FIFA World Cup in Brazil and was also brilliant for French Ligue 1 club, Lille OSC all through the period being considered.
Only last week, Enyeama was also named in the 25-man roster of players being considered for the CAF African Footballer of the Year Award.
Meanwhile, others in the BBC list released on Monday includes current holder Yaya Toure, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Yacine Brahimi, and Gervinho.
Since its inception only one Nigerian player, Austin Okocha has won the prestigious award having finished tops in 2003 and 2004.
According to the organisers of the award, the winner will be decided by fans of African football, who have until 18:00 GMT on Monday, 24 November to vote for their choice.
The winner will be announced on December 1
