Brilliant, absolutely brilliant. The Premier League weekend has come and gone and while the eyes of football lovers would turn quickly to the Champions League games coming up, we are at WB give you a chance to relive the best weekend so far in the Premier League.
We start off at Manchester where both teams could not get maximum points or any at all, with the Citizens getting a point at St. Mary's and Man Utd losing at home, Liverpool were the best winners this weekend as Arsenal failed to capitalize on their rivals' slump and more interestingly at the bottom, with teams putting on their best performances to ensure a tightly contested season this year.
Lot of upsets both at the bottom and at the top to leave you more confused about how the season would turn out.
So let's get the tape rolling... "WB's Five Things We Learnt From The Premier League This Weekend"
Yes, Yes, Yes, And Mo' Yes
Are Man Utd a worse team this season? Yes. Have they squandered their chances of retaining their title this season? Yes. Harder to get into Champions League qualification spots? Absolutely. You could ask a plethora of negative questions and all you would get would be yes and Moyes at the bottom of it all.

David Moyes walking away after the disappointing loss to Newcastle |
David Moyes is breaking all the records, and while the 5-0 thriller against Leverkusen might be a good one, but West Brom, Everton, and Newcastle getting wins at Old Trafford after long runs is quite something. The Toons' win made the Red Devils suffer their first back-to-back home defeat since 2002 and in those periods under Sir Alex Ferguson, the retired manager promised they would bounce back and did so.
Now Moyes has to do the same and he has little time, not with the board, but with the fans as evident of the early departures and stadium boos at the end of the game. When it was nicknamed Theatre of Dreams, people believed it was alone for Man Utd, now the whole Man Utd franchise need to wake up from their slumber because teams are beginning to feel they can live the dream at Old Trafford.
Toffees' Tough Ease
Tell Roberto Martinez at the beginning of the season he could take 4 points from games at Old Trafford and Emirates and he would want to take a look into your crystal ball. Silently all season they have been picking up valuable points, and done so with exceptional performances.
When a Man Utd fan talks about his team stuttering due to transition, all you need to do is point at Everton; They are in the same position, not league wise but in terms of transition, Roberto Martinez has inherited the same team Moyes left behind for him, and with his new philosophy and excellent signings, the F.A Cup winner is bringing out the best in his side.
Everton are looking a serious contender for the top four and to suggest them winning the title would be over the top but why should we doubt them? Their next six or winter games are against teams in the bottom half, a period where the big teams are either facing themselves or facing good teams like Everton, so if they can collect maximum points and surrounding teams stutter, why not?
Soaring Eagles
"Tony Pulis...Tony Pulis...Tony Pulis" That is what you hear at the end of each match, loud fans showing their appreciation to their recently appointed manager. While he might not play the most attractive of football, Tony Pulis is a good manager and after SAF's retirement can proud himself as part of the dying breed together with Harry Redknapp and Sam Allardyce.
Ian Holloway gave way due to pressure and Old Tony is riding on that same pressure, the Eagles are going from strength to strength after picking up successive wins against West Ham and Cardiff. His long ball style of play has come with moderation and also suits players like Cameron Jerome and Marouane Chamakh, the former being a good target man and the latter having great first touch.
The Eagles are flying high and are, surprisingly, three wins away from Man Utd, they have definitely avoided becoming another Burnley and with confidence being over the roof, just like all Eagles, the sky is their limit.
Forget Rooney, Rvp, Or Aguero, Suarez Is The Real Deal
Suarez is the S in Superman. He might appear from the tunnels rather than a phone booth, and all red instead of bits of blue here and there but the Uruguayan is certainly lifting Liverpool from the ashes.

Suarez now has 15 goals in 10 appearances in the EPL |
What would Liverpool be without him? And how silly were Arsenal to add just an extra pound to sign him? SAF described him perfectly well, not the quickest of feet but has a quick brain and he is showing his running brain week in, week out. 4 goals against Norwich and 2 against West Ham, not the strongest of teams, but it underlines the striker's consistency.
From the racial abuse controversy to the biting action, Suarez has risen from all those to push his team behind Arsenal waiting to pounce on any Arsenal mistake. The biggest question now would be if Liverpool can keep the red hot striker.
Best League In The World
This weekend just seemed to confirm something we already had in the back of our minds that the Premier League is the best league in the world at the moment, and we are not talking about how the league is presented or packaged, its competitiveness, the edge and thrill about it are first class.

Mourinho was stunned on the touch line after Stoke's winner |
Mourinho's Chelsea conceding about six goals in 2 games, the bottom teams surging, Liverpool's master class, and Arsenal not getting an easy ride to capitalize on rivals' failures. Things like these are the reason why people are obsessed about it.
Man Utd are 9 points off the relegation spots, the top 4 is being broken with teams pushing for those spots and there are hardly easy fixtures anymore that you can be guaranteed of coming out with the whole 3 points. All these competitiveness, spirit, unpredictability and as well packaging, would definitely make the league, come the end of May, one of the best seasons in the Premier League era so far.
