The Flying Eagles of Nigeria failed to turn up as they were overpowered by Brazil in their first game at the U-20 World Cup. The African champions lost by 4-2 in a very entertaining and explosive affair.

Gabriel Jesus opened the scoring for Brazil after being slipped through by Judivan before Manchester City attacker Kelechi Iheanacho hit the woodwork as Nigeria knocked for the equaliser.
It wasn't long enough before the goal came as Musa Yahaya exquisite rabona put Isaac Success through on goal and the Granada striker rounded the keeper and scored. 1-1
The Flying Eagles were high on confidence and they added a second in the 28th minute with yet another well-crafted strike. Impressive Yahaya who assisted the equalizer cut inside and crashed a shot into the net and Nigeria the lead 2-1.
