Nigeria’s Super Falcons on Friday qualified for the women’s football event of the 2015 All Africa Games in Congo Brazaville between September 3-18, 2015.
The team handled by Edwon Okon thrashed Mali women 8-0 in the second leg of the final round of the qualifier at the Abuja National Stadium.
A brace each from Desire Oparanozie, Asisat Oshoala and Francisca Ordega – sandwiched by a trademark strike from skipper Evelyn Nwabuoku from over 23 yards in the 69th minute and a goal from Esther Sunday towards the end of the game ensured that the Super Falcons qualified for the All African Games. The Falcons thus qualified for the Games 9-1 on aggregate.
