Following the news that Manchester City are set to ditch the world class trio of Samir Nasri, Yaya Toure and Bacary Sagna at the end of the season, we sought to dig up five more names the club could do with freeing themselves of during the summer transfer window

More for his own good than anything else. The monstrous defender could have been a regular England international by now, but injuries and the arrivals of several mega expensive stars took precedence ahead of him.
Over the past three years he has managed to make just 19 appearances for the club, prompting him to take the bold step of joining Fiorentina on loan. However, it hasn’t quite worked out for him there and there will no doubt be a queue of Premier League sides all keen to bring him back home over the summer.
SCOTT SINCLAIR
Like Richards, a permanent move elsewhere would suit Sinclair down to the ground. His career has stalled dramatically since linking up with the club, and their treatment of him seems almost spiteful.
However, since linking up with Aston Villa on yet another lean, he’s shown that he still is a fantastic talent by helping to reinvigorate the club’s attack to bag three goals in six appearances so far. City may not get anything in terms of a transfer fee, but the space used from his wages would be most welcome elsewhere.
ALVARO NEGREDO
Negredo will go down as one of the great wastes of money in City’s history through no fault of his own. Despite an impressive haul of 23 goals across all competitions last term, he was shipped out to Valencia in favour of keeping Stevan Jovetic, which obviously worked out well.
The 29-year-old will do well to move on permanently this summer, and City will just be hoping they can recoup the majority of the transfer fee they paid for him.
