According to Supersport, Dolphins star Emem Eduok has agreed a deal in principle to join Norwegian side Sarpsborg 08 in January.
The deal for the 20-year-old is yet to be finalised between both clubs but the reports says that the player left the shores of the country to sort out personal terms.
"I hope that we can give Sarpsborg football audience a real Christmas present. We are in contact with a player, but there are still details left before the player can be ready.
I do not want to confirm the name or nationality of this player," said ThomasBerntsen ,Sarpsborg sports director.
The fee mentioned for the 3-year-old is $150,000 (around N28 million) as transfer fee for Eduok, and part of the agreement includes a 50-percent sell-on clause to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) in future transfer of the player.
"Emem has agreed a three-year deal with Sarpsborg 08 of Norway. He has agreed personal terms and the club have also talked to us (Dolphins).
He (Eduok) will go for a transfer fee of $150,000. But it is from the sell-on clause that we will benefit from as it is around 50 to 60 percent of future transfer," a source close to the player told supersport.com on Wednesday.
Eduok emerged the second highest goalscorer of the Nigerian Professional football league (NPFL) and was outstanding in Dolphins 6-0 drubbing of Nembe City in one of the games as he scored all the goals in that match.
