Cristiano Ronaldo and Brazilian prodigy Neymar are top on the list of players across the world partnering with FIFA in the renewed fight against the deadly Ebola disease which so far has killed over 5,000 people across the world especially in West Africa.
According to a statement of FIFA’s website on Monday the selected players are joining forces with the Confederation of African Football, CAF and health experts to raise global awareness and promote simple preventative measures in the fight against Ebola.
Dubbed the “11 against Ebola” campaign, players like Chelsea’s Didier Drogba and Bayern Munich’s Philipp Lahm and also Nigeria’s Mikel Obi are all contributing their quota to the noble course.
The preoccupation of the players will be to promote 11 simple health messages selected with the help of doctors and health experts from Africa, the World Bank Group and the World Health Organization who are tackling the outbreak in West Africa
