Returnee head coach of the Super Eagles, Stephen Okechukwu Keshi has revealed a sign that he is ready to atone for all errors he might have committed during his previous stint with the Nigerian national team, as he has included previously out-of-favor striker, Ikechukwu Uche in his list of invitees for this month’s 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Congo Republic and South Africa.
This much is contained in a list of 25 players Keshi rolled out Friday evening, with IK Uche from Villarreal of Spain the major highlight in a squad that has the onerous task of ensuring victory for Nigeria in both matches, to stand any chance of making it to AFCON 2015 in Morocco.
Following a long-drawn, yet controversial spat with The Big Boss, IK is called up to star for the Eagles for first time in nearly two years, and there is also a first senior team opportunity for Nasarawa United of Lafia midfielder, Tony Edjomari.
All the players are expected to report at Bolton White Apartments, Wuse, Abuja next Sunday, 9th November.
