The Super Eagles B teams are understandably happy with their slim win over their Ghanaian counterparts in Friday’s friendly put together to open the brand-new Akwa Ibom International Stadium in Uyo on Friday.
The Eagles team led by goalkeeper Chigozie Agbim recorded a lone goal win over the Black Meteors in a thrilling encounter in Uyo to lift the maiden Transformation Cup.
The solitary goal from Emem Eduok in the 35th minute was enough to give Nigeria the victory and for Captain Agbim, the victory is dedicated to all Nigerian fans across the world.
“We dedicate the victory to every Nigeria football fans, we thank them for their support” Agbim stated.
With the Ghana friendly now over, attention will shift to preparations for the crucial Africa Cup of Nations qualifying games against Congo and then South Africa.
