10. Branislav Ivanovic – £75,000

The Serbian born Ivanovic signed for Chelsea from Russian club Lokomotiv Moscow in January 2008 and has remained a bulwark in the team. He can play either as a right back or as a centre back.

Mikel Obi, the Nigerian international came into international prominence when he was voted as runner-up to Lionel Messi at the 2005 edition of the FIFA U-20 World Cup.
