The 2014/2015 has not just given us goals and exciting football, it has also given us top to athletes, here are five of the top stars of the ongoing season
1- Agbim Chigozie
Team- Gombe United
Position- GK
The 29 year shot stopper is just getting to his prime, his impressive performances for has team has not gone unnoticed by the super eagle handlers. Chigozie has just been called up to the national team for the upcoming AFCON qualifiers
2- Azubike Egwuekwe
Team-Warri Wolves
Position- Defender
Azubike Egwueke is a staunch defender who has put up impressive blocks and interceptions for 6th placed Warri wolves.
His call up to the national team is a testimony to his no nonsense defending. His presence in the national team will surely keep some of the foreign based defenders on their toes.
3- Kunle Odunlami
Team-Sunshine Stars
Position- Defender and Midfielder
Born in April 30 1991, Kunle is one of the youngsters in the NPFL whose team has benefited from their versatility.
With his ability to play in the heart of the defense and the center of the park, he has proved to be a real asset to Sunshine stars who sit 10th on the NPFL table. He is fast, athletic, fun to watch, hope he takes all this quality to the national team.
4- Christain Osaguona
Team- Enugu Rangers
Position-Striker
15 goal Christian is currently the leading scorer of the 2014/15 NPFL season.
The Enugu ranger striker has not been able to fire his team to the top of the table, his goals has earned him a place in the national team list.
5-Gbolahan Salami
Team: Warri Wolves
Position- Striker
Another fine silky player who once grabbed the headlines for his performances in the 2012/13 season, the young striker is Dynamic and has seen his goals lift his team Warri wolves to 6th position in the on-going season.
He has earned himself a national team call up for the upcoming qualifiers against Congo DR and South Africa
