Two former Federation Cup champions, Dolphins and Enyimba,have qualified for the semifinal of the 2014 edition of thecompetition after winning their quarterfinal games on Wednesday.
Cup defending champions, Enyimba did enough to see off Sharks and end their hopes of a first-ever Cup title with a 2-0 win atthe Goal Project pitch in Abuja. On the other hand,four-time Cup champions, Dolphins, ran over Lobi Stars in a match that produced six goals at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu.
Emem Eduok's goal ensured that Dolphins led for the first 45minutes but the second half produced bucket loads of action.
Five minutes into the business end of the match, Dolphins led 4-1 with two minutes to full time although Audu Seriki scored Lobi's second of the game in added time, which proved too little to influence the outcome of the contest.
