- Manchester United have been warned that David Moyes’s main transfer target Marco Reus will cost up to £40million. Midfielder Reus had a £29.4m buy-out clause in his contract at Borussia Dortmund. But it is understood the situation has changed since Bayern Munich activated a similar clause to snatch Mario Gotze last summer which means they will have to break their transfer record to snap him
- Tottenham will be taking stock of their players over the next few weeks and are aware Real Madrid may relent on loaning Alvaro Morata. Carlo Ancelotti was unwilling to loan Spain U21 international Morata as he wanted cover for Karim Benzema, but the form of Jese Rodriguez has changed Ancelotti's mind.
- Roma remain confident of signing Barcelona's teenage striker Tonni Sanabria ahead of Arsenal. Both clubs are willing to pay the release clause but Roma's wage offer is greater, with the 17 year old expected to earn around £11,500 a week tax-free.
