Back from the continental games and an eventful one to say- Arsenal edging closer to the knockout stages, Man City dominating their home territory once again, Chelsea ready to put their disappointment behind them and, surprisingly, a dominating performance from Man Utd in Germany.
But away from all those exciting games and back to the most competitive league in the world, here are the five things you should expect from the Premier League this weekend.
POINTS TO PROVE AND COLLECT
Easily the pick of the weekend, Tottenham vs Man Utd would be an enticing one to watch with both sides eager to come out the happier.
Tottenham put their 6-0 misery behind them to win against Tromso in the Europa but have not one won a game in three matches now in the Premier League while the Red Devils put on an impressive display in the UCL after a drab performance against Cardiff.
AVB and David Moyes would be going out in a win-all situation, as the Portuguese would be looking to avoid a 3rd straight defeat and the Scot- a climb on the table with a win, knowing Man Utd have not lost at White Hart Lane since 2001.
MID-TABLE JUMPERS
To call it the most competitive in the world is not a stretch, the Premier League is definitely is and so would the weekend prove to be.
Apart from the 'Top 6', there are battles happening at each section of the table and with the big teams pitting against good sides this weekend, there are lots of positions to scale this weekend.
Arsenal travel to Cardiff who have picked up four points from both Manchester sides, Chelsea faces the meaniest defense in the league in Southampton, Man City faces 'Spanish' Swansea, Liverpool away at Hull City and Tottenham clashes with Man Utd.
PRODIGAL SONS?
Well... not entirely prodigal but this weekend, we are expecting to see familiar faces this weekend, back from the bench, injury, suspension, or whatever makes them not a regular.

United's Kagawa played well in his preferred position |
Chelsea need all the creativity to break down a Southampton side unless Boruc has come to play, not the kind of Arsenal play, but seriously? and Mourinho could be calling on Mata this weekend, the Spaniard evidently missed against Basel in the midweek.
There might be a recall for Nani and Kagawa with their impressive displays against Bayer Leverkusen and with AVB saying he might return to the orthodox 4-4-2, Defoe might just crawl back in.
Gus Poyet is set to welcome missed Lee Cattermole who has served his time and with West Ham needing goals, Carlton Cole might just get the nod since his return from free agency.
TOUGH CITIZENS
The Blue Moon is rising at Etihad, and no pun intended, the players are not ready to hit twilight.
Manuel Pellegrini's boys have scored 34 goals this season- 26 at home and conceded just two, Etihad might be a plane but there is no denying that teams are crashing in the stadium, ask Newcastle, Norwich, Tottenham and even the less noisy neighbors, Man Utd.
Swansea City travel to Manchester to face a side doing well in all quarters but shaky away. Having qualified from the group stages in UCL albeit looks of struggling performances, Man City look like they struggle with any team outside the four walls of England- Cardiff? So if Michael Laudrup can put on his best Barcelona Tiki-Taka impression might just be able to keep the goals to a minimum, talk about wolves in Sheep's clothing. (Hey, no pun intended again, all you #TeamJacob fans).
THE SINKING DUTCH MAN
Put troubled Martin Jol beside a barometer and it would probably burst open, such is the enormous pressure circling around the Dutch, that his sacking, which is looking inevitable, has been aided with the recruit of another Dutch coach Rene Meulensteen; while it might seem like a good move there is much speculation surrounding such appointment.
Since their spectacular win against Crystal Palace, the Cottagers have lost four in a row and are sitting in 18th position directly behind West Ham, a team they face this weekend. If Jol loses this weekend, he might not be around for much longer to see the transformation 'undergoing' at Fulham. How do you say sacked in Dutch?- "Ontslagen"
